Papers, 1960-2000.

Collection consists primarily of reports, flyers, letters and memoranda, press releases and clippings as well as photographs. The folders are alphabetical and the materials are organized in chronological order. This collection is important for examining the struggles for civil rights of the Puerto Rican community in New York, the history of the National Congress for Puerto Rican Rights and the Committee Against Fort Apache. There is also information about bilingual education, and other organizations committed to civil rights goals.
